Support. Advocate. Facilitate. Educate.

Survivors Lending a Compassionate Hand

The Canadian Society for Asbestos Victims (CanSAV) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, advocacy, facilitation, and education to serve Canadians families impacted by asbestos-related diseases.

As these diseases are life-altering, occupational diseases, CanSAV recognizes the need to accelerate access to health and compensation services through shared, community resources.

We encourage impacted families to seek entitlements within existing health and compensation systems and facilitate a toll free service for support.

Our Mission

Asbestos was widely mined and used in the building trades in Canada until the 1980’s and is now recognized as a dangerous carcinogen known to cause potentially lethal occupational illnesses in people up to 40 years after exposure. CanSAV is committed to providing community outreach education programs that includes professional services, government agencies and impacted families. The intention is to create positive change and better serve Canadians living with these diseases.

Our Vision

We are a community of families and informed professionals committed to helping one another and affect positive change on the issue of asbestos across our national governances.
